I plan to review my article about TE and KM to see what needs to be updated. However, if your snippet expansions are not that many, KM should be sufficient for text expansions. Also, I think it may a little easier and quicker for some users to create expansions in TE than in KM. When I have some time, I often check those suggestions to see which ones I should turn in to snippets. And TE can suggest snippets for words and phrases that you’re using quite often. TE also reminds you if typed a word that you already have an existing TE abbreviation in the library. TE also has universal keyboard shortcuts for inline search of your TE library and snippet creation. I have have over 700 text expansions in TE, and if I put even half of them in KM, it would make KM bloated with macros. KM can handle text expansions however, I choose not to put the majority of my text expansions in KM. I would so there are a few things KM can do that TE cannot.
